We have the impending inauguration of Joe Biden

Vaccine Drama: another incredible project and another opportunity to lead the world in something.

From the perspective of the hospital, at this stage of the pandemic should be able to correlate with our current moment of political turmoil. Its tough to read accounts of people being kept alive on supplemental oxygen knowing exactly why and still not believing it. There is a threshold of pride that

I Digress and I want to focus my attention on the restaurant and its role in society. The industry had to show its resiliance in a year we seemingly could not see coming. The restaurant is so important in society that it literally makes up the neighborhood demographics. In Major Cities like San Francisco or New York City you have humankind worst, the mad yelp reviewer keeping you in check. It is tough to make it as its risks meet its rewards and the best case scenario is a place that becomes an asset to the community as a whole. Both the upstanding and the societies criminals all love good food and good conversation. Having dinner with somebody is to display ones vulnerability as our animal instincts are quick to react to danger. Eating dinner with somebody is inviting them to explore the most vulnerable part of you. Besides at restaurants how else do people eat together? Foreal. I doubt anybody that is 2 degrees of separation from me really regularly has dinner with the table is set, where appetizers are served and there is creme brulee for dessert. There is only one place where we can let our world’s stop for 30 minutes to an hour…the food counter.

There is so much stress reduction that a restaurant provides its customers and incredible lessons get learned from all those that work in restaurants. This is really why I have as soft spot for this industry, its those that make it possible through the care that they show. The true neighborhood spots are homes. Its important to understand as restaurants shut down so does the camaraderie enjoyed by so many that worked there. It is an industry I have to credit for any resiliance I might display in the future. Balancing a tray, remembering on the fly requests, and apologizing to customers for someone else's mistake really. There was also the state of flow when things were fun and (within the bounds of safety and sanitation) you would screw around, get food perpared, and sometimes be so busy and on your feet that you skip food that day. I now sit for work and it will be the death of me.

In the same breath I am totally on the side of science when it comes to this virus. If the Governor gives us an inch, we take a mile and I can’t fully disagree with any 1 persons opinion on how we should lockdown, except if it deny’s the pandemic outright. I want restaurants.
